At Swim Retreats Costa Rica, we partner with VAMOS Youth to promote water safety and community impact — and our coaching is led by the passionate swimmers of VAMOS Ocean Racers. Our Second Edition!
May 31 - June 7, 2026
Join us for seven days of guided open‑water coaching, practical safety workshops, and restorative coastal living—designed as a true swim retreat and swim holiday for all levels. Beaches and activities are handpicked and the schedule is carefully curated to balance purposeful training, built‑in downtime to relax and explore, and authentic local experiences.
We prioritize water safety, keep groups small for personalized support, and welcome companions who can join the experience without taking part in swim sessions. This year, each registration sponsors a local child in the upcoming Vamos Youth Community Swim Program, and participants can take part in, or spectate, one of Central America’s most beautiful local races. What you get
Transport
Includes roundtrip airport shuttles and transportation during the retreat. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own plane tickets.
Accommodation
A 7-day stay at the luxurious, modern Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel—including daily breakfast—steps from the beach, amazing restaurants, lively bars, and all of Tamarindo’s top attractions.
Activities
Designed to elevate your ocean confidence, the retreat includes a surf lesson, yoga for swimmers, a pool technique analysis, a scenic sailing cruise, and daily open-water sessions. You’ll train with local athletes, explore various beaches, and can even join one of the most iconic swim races in the country at Playa Conchal.
Coaching
The retreat includes expert coaching and professional lifeguard supervision during all training sessions to ensure safety and optimal guidance.
Photo Album
Every participant will receive a high-resolution photo album featuring drone, water, and action shots.
Team Uniform
Each swimmer’s package includes a custom swim buoy, a long-sleeve hooded SPF rash guard, a silicone swim cap, and a dedicated swim bag.
